Since the Spring of 2006, PROJECT INDEPENDENT has been dedicated to helping Metal Bands get discovered!

From their Website:
"PROJECT INDEPENDENT is a touring, band showcase program specifically designed for the discovery and development of independent metal artists.
During the spring and fall of each year, we select 18 cities nationwide to host a series of multi-level artist showcases. We then coordinate with local promoters to find the four best, independent metal bands in the area. We bring them all together for one night and put them on stage to perform in front of their peers, and in front of our talent scouts. At the end of the night, we select one of these bands to be included on a future Project Independent compilation. Once selected, that band will become 1 of 18 bands with a chance to become the next Project Independent Featured Artist."

"The services and prize packages offered by Project Independent are designed to provide artists with replication services, retail distribution, promotional touring, equipment upgrades and tech support."
